TomTom 5 plus Poi edit

Hi as you can see I am a beginer

How do I know that I have copied the camera database to my SD card, this might sound silly but I already had the database installed and wanted to update my SD card to the latest version so I used POI edit, but am not sure if I have the latest version installed. When I used POI edit it copied all the files to my hard drive and transfered same to the PDA but some of the files are stored on my SD card but not in a file so am not sure how I activate these into TomTom.

Hope all this makes sense.

Firstly you will only get the latest database if you are a subscriber - £2 per month or £19 per year

Secondly POIEdit does not work with the new database, so what it actually downloaded and installed was the last free database before it changed to subscription, which is now over 6 months old.

Once you have subscribed follow the link "speed cameras" on the left of this screen. Scroll down the page and you will find installation instructions for Tom Tom. They are very simple to follow and should have you up and running in no time.
