I've read in 1 of the forums that the Bluetooth X7 is no good as an in car receiver (due to a delay or something?). Is this correct? I plan to use it with an ipaq 1940 and TT2. Any advice appreciated. Rolling Eyes

I found it unmanageable for car navigation due to the lag. Swapped it for a Fortuna GPSmart, keeping all other parts of my equipment the same, and found the Fortuna gave no lag at all. I'm using TomTom 2 on an Ipaq 3970.

You might wait for the pocketgps review, as mine is a very limited experience - but nevertheless true.

Just tried the X7 with TT2 and have no real problems using it in car. Sensitivity is excellent and the stories of it working in the glovebox are true! The lag is hardly noticeable (compared to my NAVMAN jacket), but my only gripe is that TT2 seems to occasionally think I've carried on for a few meters after stopping at a junction. Then you get an instruction to turn, when you are actually on the right route still. Also, I was happily doing about 70 (!) on a straight dual carriage way when I was suddenly told to turn right, as the GPS said I was on a country road about 1/2 a mile away. It was quickly corrected though. All in all, I will stick with the X7 for the time being as it seems pretty good. Thumbs Up

I've ordered one of these for £145 off ebay, i like the fact that they have no buttons to mess with and have such a long battery life, plus i'm sick of the site of the big ugly Haicom MMF CF card

I've found it is a little bit slower than the CF card at updating your position when acceleration, but its still seems accurate and useable for me, and very good time to first fix and it holds the sats well
