Pocketmap Navigator GPS

I've just purchased a GPS unit from Pocketmap Navigator made by Spacemachine of California for $350.00. Has anyone ever heard of them?

The GPS is made by Holux and seems to work fine, but the maps are terrible. Maps cannot even locate my home or work address. Says location does not exsist, but gives a location close by or an address a few blocks away. I'm know wondering how the system will get me anywhere. Can anyone recommend a good product, especially maps, for the USA.

For street navigation the best maps are currently coming with Mapopolis. They are not the latest maps ( a lot of the constructions of the last four years are missing) but they are the most precise maps of all offerings. If you are looking for newer maps then TomTom or CoPilot are good alternatives (they use TeleAtlas maps). Destinator and Routis/Intellinav have the same old NavTech maps as Mapopolis, but with less precision.

Now you will have to decide what other features besides the maps are important for you - let us know...
