A couple of weeks ago Navman held a Press Briefing where they unveiled a new navigation software application for Symbian S60 devices, along with two new Bluetooth receivers. Both receivers are SiRFStar III which should ensure rapid and strong satellite reception.
Navman Travel assist is the company's first venture into mobile phone navigation software and they have taken the revolutionary NavPix and implemented it in an environment ideally suited to it. All mobile phones have integrated cameras. Now Navman can build a massive community of NavPix users.

There is no compatibility list as yet. The Press Release merely says "most Nokia S60 phones". I'm sure we'll know more by the 19th of September. _________________ Tim |

This is something that Navman say they are working towards. Apparently there's a licencing and signing process that has to be carried out, rather like MS with 'certified' drivers and such, I think.
Just a couple of other bits of info for now.
The product will be a "Plug 'n' Go" application with no activation required by the user. Full postcode lookup in the UK is supported. _________________ Tim |
