I see there are now updates, listed for the i3, for both WebUpdater and POI Loader. There is also an update for 'USB Aviation Drivers'. What is this?

They were listed on the Garmin Support Updates & Downloads webpage. However have just checked again and lo and behold the 'USB Aviation Drivers' download is no longer listed although the other latest downloads are still there.

Clearly this mysterious download was there by mistake which has now been remedied.
