Incorrect Garmin i3 POI

For what it might be worth for other people, yesterday I discovered (the hard way) that the 'built in' Garmin POI for Llanthony Priory near Hay-on-Wye is some half mile out from it's true location. This can be quite disconcerting if approaching from Hay-on-Wye by an 11 mile long single track lane only to be told that you've arrived some half mile before you have! The only saving grace was that continuing on the lane is the only option and eventually you do get there.

How can such extreme mapping errors occur when nothing has changed for hundreds of years???

Human error. The monks built the Priory in the wrong place...
