Questions on Garmin SP2820

Can anyone tell me how the SP2820 stores its maps/data? Is it possible to hold both Europe and US maps together, I’m a little unclear as who their system works in terms of uploading Maps etc.

Does 2820 have dead-lock capabilities

Can the Garmin be used portably i.e. in the hand while on foot in a city or does it require a constant power supply

The GTM 12 FM TMC traffic receiver appeals, can anyone confirm that if purchased in the UK the US subscription would not kick in until system was used in US
