TomTom or Something else ?

Hi,

I own a TTG 300 I have had it for around 15 months, I was about to buy my father a TomTom One but my map is pretty poor these days!

So I am now confused what to get, I want to pay around the TomTom One price but for the first time I am thinking at looking elsewhere than a TT. Problem is I dont know what to look at!

It is basically reading comments on here about the new "updated" maps being so poor that is putting me off, this leads to my next question I would like to know is it worth me updating my TT map?? I just want a new map with the roads around yorkshire looking more accurate, e.g the A1!!!

Ive found Garmins are great. Maybe take a look at the Nuvi ?

Hi their I have a TomTom 510 with the new maps, Before I had a TomTom One, Their have been 3 new road's built near me and their all on the new maps, If your not sure about getting a TomTom this device this look's like a very good alternative http://www.yournav.com/content/review/180/C510E_Mio_takes_a_giant_step_ahead.html or you could consider a Garmin they use Navteq Maps rather than Teleatlas http://www.garmin.com/mobile/products.html#automotive I had a Garmin i3 before the TomTom One and the map data on that was more upto date than the TomTom One.
