|
|
I have just purchased the 7 TTN5 maps for the USA. I have saved 2 of the 7 to my SD card as I need to travel from Virginia to North Carolina - they are in 2 different regions. Is it possible to do this without switching the maps manually? When I try to find locations, it only lists those within the currently loaded region. Both regions are on the same memory card. I believe the facility to navigate between countries works in Europe so was hoping it would work in the same way for the US.
Many thanks. _________________ HP iPAQ 2410

There is a separate map "Cities of North America" which functions similar to the old MOWE map (Major Roads of Western Europe).
There are no "Plus" maps in the US (in the sense of one region detailed and major roads for the rest).
You will have to switch maps manually. _________________ Lutz

If you have the same 8 CD set of TTN5 maps I do, you can install the following map under "other maps":
VA+KY+TN+NC
It's a 93 meg map, and I believe you're stuck with KY and TN even if you don't want them. |

Thank you both for your replies. I downloaded the maps rather than receiving them on CD (don't know if that's an option in the UK); I didn't see an option for other maps and then VA+KY+TN+NC. That would be most useful though.
In the same vain, I didn't see an option for Cities of North America???
Are either of these downloadable from the UK TomTom website? I guess I could purchase them from the US one if they're a download.
So am I correct in thinking I need to navigate myself to somewhere on the border and then switch maps and navigate myself to a second destination? Therefore I need a paper atlas to find somewhere on the map borders that is in the direction of travel. I hope I'm wrong, because that sounds *&^%. _________________ HP iPAQ 2410

Well posible that this is only available from CD.
Yes, the inability to do cross map routing is pretty pathetic. _________________ Lutz
