i dont understand please help

well i conected the tom tom to the pc found the bitmap splash that is already installed changed the name so i can still keep it down loaded some splash screens at the correct size copyed and pasted to the memory card then changed its name to splash.bmp then switched of tom tom disconected the device then started tom tom again and just got the black screen with the 2 red hands and thats it no screen splash please can you help as i am new at this but followed the correct procedure well i think i have any ideas i have not saves the file to a speciffic folder just were the origional one was did re install the origionsl one back to se if it worked with that and no it doesnt thanks again for the help

Do you have Folder Options, in Explorer, UNTICKED 'Hide Extensions of Known File Types'?

If you haven't, do so and then check the names of the Files you have.

Also check that the new Splash.bmp has been rotated 90 degrees to to the right.

thanks for that was the problem there was a tick in there whys that great stuff now i can change my splash screens and again thank you very much
