|
|
I use NAVMAN ICN 650 I just (today)downloaded the latest database including SPEC, Mobile etc. I have gone into POI on NAVMAN and quite happily can import the asc with bmp files for spec, mobile, redlight and temp but every time I try to do the GATSO it says Internal Navman Error.
Can anyone help me please?

OK, as a workaround, can you open the gatso.asc file in Notepad. Search for GATSO:3542@50 and delete the whole line, then save the file again. I have had it confirmed that this will work on an iCN520, and have transferred it myself onto an iCN550 which would not take the original file. My iCN530 accepted the original file so perhaps SmartST2006 devices are unaffected.
This camera is in the Republic of Ireland so will have minimal impact on what is meant to be a UK database. Perhaps this camera needs to by moved into the European database. _________________ Tim |

Why would removing this one camera location solve the problem, is there a limit to the amount of cameras you can have in one file? |

Why, we don't know. It has happened once before with one of the speedzoned files and it was fixed in a similar fashion. There may be a limit to the number of cameras in one file but we haven't reached it with the Gatso file. After all, we have over 9000 in the single file. _________________ Tim |

Could the problem be caused by the camera location, that is removed to fix the fault, is not on a map installed on the users sat nav.
I understand the camera location in this latest instance was in the Repuplic of Ireland, this would not normally be a map installed by default on the ICN 510. |

No. I have the cameras in Belguim and the euro cameras installed but only put the maps on when i go across the channel as my memory card is to small to have England and France on at the same time. Mine works fine now Tim has said remove the said Irish camera. |

No, I don't think so. The original file went onto a 530 (SmartST2006, no Irish maps) but wouldn't go onto a 550 (SmartST2005 Rel2, all EU maps on internal hard drive). To me, this makes it a pre-SmartST2006 issue.
I still have no idea what exactly causes the problem, though.
As I understand it, the downoad has been updated anyway, making the problem moot. Or is that not the case? _________________ Tim |

The updated file can not have been loaded ,as yesterday i had the same problem and the quick fix cured it . It seems the faulty camera location is still in the database. |

I've been assured that the new DB has been uploaded and it's possible that you're downloading a cached version. _________________ Tim |

I had the same problem with my Navman 520. Undertook the fix suggested above - and all now loaded in and working correctly. I downloaded the files this morning - so not sure why the problem remains with the GATSO file. Anyway - all working now!! :D |
