Bloody problems AGAIN! PLS HELP ME

Hi all,

Ive got a Zire31 running Shitesonic version 3 and the damn thing has recently developed yet another fault (suprise suprise!)

I recently installed a revised map (of most of England which is local to me) There are no other maps loaded up on the system. Anyway I wanted to do some navigating (as you do) and upon starting up Viamichelin I get one of those dreaded application exception faults and the program wont even start up after that. The problem here is that I cant get into the viamichelin software in order to delete the map so it has basically rendered it useless! ARGH! 8O

I have performed countless resets of the handheld (using a pin in the back) and Ive tried to see if I can delete the map via my PC in order to put a new one on in the hope it might somehow refresh itself and let me get on with my navigating life.

I really hate this piece of crap - Its the worst £250 ive ever spunked,

What's a "revised map" ? I thought ViaMichelin didn't provide map updates. If you've loaded a version 4 map into version 3 software, then that could be your problem.

Revised as in "an exported section" of my local area of england.

Its all version 3.

You could try installing FileZ (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/palm/2367) on to your Zire so that you can delete the file and then try again. If the application has got corrupted then you will need to delete vM and then reinstall from scratch.
