Navman 530 Camera database

I have down loaded the camera database, it shows on my navman 530.
once in the navman will the poi automatically work? or does one do something else to make it work?
I have tried it out on the A41 towards Birkenhead which has plenty of cameras but no warnings are forth coming.
can anyone please help.

When you say it shows on the Navman, are there any entries shown on the 'Preferences', 'My Data', 'My POI' screen? There should be some speed camera entries with a tick against them there.

If not check you have some camera files in the \My Flash Disk\Navman\Lightning\Navman\MYPOI folder on the Navman.

If not then make sure you are following the instructions correctly for loading the files to the Navman and also look at this thread as some people find the files are getting loaded to the incorrect folder.

On opening "my data" and then poi screen it shows "My Poi Files" and nothing else.
Went back to Halfords where purchased and asked them the same questions, I should have gone to Asda instead I would have got more response.
