Medion MDPPC250 maps

Sorry if you've been asked this question before but I've searched forum & not found an answer & this is my first post.

I've a Medion MDPPC250 which I'm generally very happy with but, as it's now over a year old, the map data needs to be upgraded (spent a lot of time today seemingly in the middle of fields where new roads had been built). I'm currently using version 3.1 of Medion Navigator & the Processor is a SamsungS3C2410 with 56.7mb free RAM running MS Mobile 2003.

The unit was purchased from Halfords but I understand there are no upgrades included in the purchase price. Hence, if I'm forced to buy updated software I would like to purchase better/newer maps. Has anyone any experience of updating or installing new software for this model? I would be very grateful for any advice or if you need any further information just let me know.

as its a pocketpc you can use any software on it you like from AA navigator to iGO
