Reinstalling TomTom 700

Re-installing Tom-Tom 700. Does anybody know how to do this as I have tried using the restore option but keep getting the message that there is insufficient space available.
Is it possible to format the tomtom and perform a fresh install

When I switched the unit on last weekend, I had lost all the data except the Canary Islands map, I tried to perform the restore but kept getting the message that there was insufficient space to continue restoring. I suspect I had some form of corruption but have now tried so many different things that a full re-install seems the best option.

Thanks to those who replied, I have now resolved my problem and managed to restore my original backup.

Certainly, Problem stemmed from 161 file***.chk files in a hidden FOUND.000 directory. These took up approx. 1.1 Gb of space, once I'd cleared these down there was sufficient room to restore the first backup and hey presto I'm back up and running.
