NUVI 310 no sound

Hi all,

I took my new nuvi 310 for a spin yesterday having installed the speedcams/poi`s. Went to a location where I knew I would get an alert and on reaching the spot the red banner came up on the top with the 60 limit but I never heard the boings ( volume was just about on full ) further on I waited for the second warning and by now had shut the window and sure enough I barely could hear the bong.

Have tried turning the volume down and then up again, no change, it is even quite low when touching the screen.

I have sent garmin an e-mail a couple of days ago but have heard nothing. I know there is a re-set button to return to factory settings but didnt want to play with that till I heard from someone.

Anyone any ideas please?

Have just done a route simulation on the nuvi now taking in the camera location and everything was ok, sound was good and when it got to the speedcam the bongs were ok, so dont know what it was, a welsh gremlin in the garmin maybe!!
