Have done a hard reset of my ipaq 4150 and reinstalled tom tom which is now working but I am now having problems with the Fortuna clip on GPS which was working fine before
I have set the GPS to the same as before
NMEA 0183v2 38400 and bluetooth serial port 6 (also tried 8 ) and the bluetooth connects as the GPS is flashing blue and the icon appears on the ipaq but when I click on the icon of the GPS (which has a blue question mark though it) I get the following:
a box opens up for Bluetooth authentication which has the device in 1 box and the other box is asking for a passkey for paring, I am confused as I never had that before.
Help much appreciated
Thanks |

Hi geezerok,
It’s best to pair the Clip-on and the iPAQ before you try to configure the software.
Try “0000” as the passkey for pairing. Hopefully you’ll only need to key that once and things will continue to work from now on.

Now, backup up your PDA before you have to hard reset again! I have several GPS apps installed on my Axim, and just on whim did a complete backup (with Sprite Backup) the other night. Sure enough, the next day an uninstall of Pocket Quicken completely hosed my setup. I came home, did a hard reset, restored, and all is well again. It would have taken hours to get things back they way they were otherwise. Word to the wise... |
