That's right but if you check the previous months download you will see there were actually a total of 48 files not to 2 x 23. There are now of course 49. I assume the data file will be coming in the weeks/months ahaed. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Thas because there aren't any!
Think about it... The only "var" cameras I know of are on places like the M25 where a sophisticated traffic management system switches on the speed limit signs and the gantry cameras, dependant on road conditions. How is a bloke in a van going to do all that?
And no, I don't understand why they have done an icon for it either! |

Not yet, but.......
The only thing I can think of Andy_P2002 is, Mobiles on motorway bridges would only normally catch you if you exceed 70mph. VariableTemp cameras catch you if driving through roadworks.
But could it happen that a short section of roadworks, with a temporary speed limit but no cameras set up, may have a mobile camera sitting on a bridge checking on the lower limit.
If the normal 70 mobile icon flashed on screen, it could/would be incorrect.
Would it? Wouldn't it? Yes? No? Maybe? _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Is there such a thing as a variable Temp camera?
Roadworks tend to have bog standard metal e.g. "40" signs and cameras set up to match.
I'm not saying there aren't, just that I've never heard of them. |

I see what you mean but the cameras that are set up on motorways within roadworks are temporary and I suppose you could say variable because sometimes the limit is 50, sometimes 40. I suppose it could be called a variable temp camera.
Again, according to the wording, mobile cameras could be classed as temporary mobiles because they are not there all the time.
Then we get really complicated if you use my scenario earlier of cameras on bridges when road works are in progress, they could be temporary variable mobile cameras.
Along my road there is a mobile site and I think it should have it's own Icon. A nice big golden Sun because it's the only time you ever see it. Never when it's cold, wet or dark. :P _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
