|
|
Hi,
Once a route has been calculated - is it possible to turn off the voice prompts (ie just follow the screen), but still receive speed camera (and other POI) alerts?
I sometimes use the SatNav more as a confirmation I'm going the right way, and hence don't need the voice prompts (until I get lost ) but would still want the speed camera alerts...
I'm asking specifically about the Nuvi (as that's the Garmin unit I'm most likely to buy) but I'd be interested to hear if it's possible on other (current) Garmin models.
Thanks |

With an i3 you could modify the English British voice file and effectivly blank all the voice prompts but leave the bings and bongs alone. Then rename your backed up English British voice file as English American. When you want voice prompts use English American that would in fact be British and when you don't use English British. _________________ -----------------------------------

The TomTom One can do it and I assume the other TomToms.
Kind regards,
