That's too bad, mate. There appear to be lots of people sharing your sentiments. Perhaps they'll learn their lesson and not give themselves the benefit of the doubt from here out. |

I think you've made the correct decision, I really beleive TomTom are in trouble, the Garmin units are good, my 910 lasted 5 days before it was returned. I'm now the verry happy owner of a Nuvi 350 with TMC. |

I have a TOM TOM 910 that has got to be returned to PC World because of crap bluetoth--no-one can hear me properly.
I spoke with the manager today(3rd time) and he is being more than helpful. Apparently Tom ToM are not releasing anymore of the *10 series until at least end of May/beginning June .
They have had major problems(well didn't we all know that) and maybe they are hopefully sorting them all out before sending any more out. The only ones available to buy at the moment are ones that dealers already have in stock.
I have a problem because by the time the new ones come in stock my 28 days will be up for complete return or refund. !! I am on holiday on Friday for a week and I need my Sat Nav ,so the manager is going guarantee I can do a complete exchange as and when the Tom Tom comes in ..or he has said if the Garmin Nuvi 360 comes in before then I can swop it for that.
What I need to know is should I swap with a Garmin Nuvi???--I had a Garmin 2610 before the Tom Tom and had always been happy ,but I have read on the other Forum that the Nuvi has also had a fair share of teething problems..........help |

It has been suggested here that you need the power lead connected to the mount for the external mic to work. Have you tried that? |

Well the suggestion that was posted here sounded reasonable based on the fact that the TT might not feed power back to the mount. I was hoping it would bring an end to people telling me how bad I sounded using the handsfree. However, I tried a controlled test today and connecting the power made no noticeable difference. So much for that theory then.
I'm probably going to get myself a nuvi 360 at some point. The handsfree can't be any worse than it is with the 510. |

You must be joking i hate all the wires everywhere, thats why i bought the tomtom because you could get 4 hours out of the battery and not have to have wires cluttering up all over the place..
|
Well that theory made no difference for me. But if it had I wouldn't have been much happier because I also hate wires all over the place, and only plug the power in on a long journey when the battery runs low. |
