|
|
I have just recently installed the new updated ROM for the XDA Mini S. However, apart from not really noticing much difference, my bluetooth now has problems. I can send things via bluetooth but I cannot recieve anything. On the other devices (numberous ones actually, a nokia 6280, sony eccirsson w810i and k750i) it says Bluetooth connection failed (on their phone)
Any other people experiencing this issue, or anyone know what I can do to help. Thank you for your time and look forward to your replies _________________ Tcepser

Have you ticked "make the device discoverable.........." in your Mini-S BT Settings. |

Thanks for your reply mullet. Yep I had already set the bluetooth settings and ticked both boxes, but still to no avail. To confuse matters I am able to pair my bluetooth gps device with my phone and tomtom is working :S
I really dont want to have to sent it away for repair, thatll take about 3weeks in my local O2 Store. Any other ideas? _________________ Tcepser

I have the same phone as you and updated the rom just recently, and have no broblems with bt, my TTN5.201 works perfectly as does a bt earpeice on the phone at the sametime. The only problem I have is that the voice directions from TTN dont go through the earpeice. _________________ BMWr1200rt

Use a card reader to transfer the data across from the SD to the smaller form factor card, make sure that on the PC within "Windows Explorer" Tools/ Folder options, View Tab "Show hidden files and folders" is checked, by default it is not.
My mates unit is working just great with TomTom loaded onto it, a very nice piece of kit, not too big (like the Exec), a very good compromise between a phone and PDA IMHO - Mike |

I use a variant of the Mini-S and the Holox 321 receiver. Both work flawlessly.
Dont confuse this receiver (holOx) with the HolUx brand. The chipset is RFMD as opposed to SirfIII. That said fixes are quick and reliable. No loss with the receiver indoors, glove box, pocket etc. I can only compare to my first Nemerix type and the bt321 is far more sensitive. |

Very glad to hear mate. I didnt know that you could use 2 bluetooth devices at the same time. I will have to give that a go.
Cheers :D _________________ Tcepser
