TomTom One No CD or Product Card

I have just bought a boxed second hand Tom Tom One on Ebay, but was not given a product card or CD.
Will this cause problems in current or future use?
I understand you need the CD to back up the GB map cd. Can I manage this without it?
As a supplementary, which capacity and brand of SD to hold Western Europe maps with speed cameras in France, should I buy?

as soon as you mess with the maps you will need the activation card if you buy your maps from tomtom you will get the product /activation card but wait till you can get the v650 maps
