tt5 itinerary checking

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been posted before but can anyone tell if it's possible to check an itinerary without having a valid gps signal, a bit like you do with a route in demo mode?

All I seem to be able to do is check the itinerary once I have a signal (I'm using an ipaq 3970 with cabled receiver) and then only from where I actually am! Confused

Any help would be much appreciated as it's a great little function but hard to know if you've got the route right before you start.
