I have noticed that a smaller version of the Gatso mounted on a much taller pole is starting to appear in London. Does this have a name? I suspect that it is digital as there seems no mechanical way to lower it and change any film. Does anyone know anything about it? My nearest one is going south on the A217 London Road at Figgs Marsh. There is also one on Clapham High Street, close to junction of Aristotle Road. This camera does show on the database whereas the Figgs marsh doesn't - but I have reported it. The taller pole is likely to cause the arsonists problems ...... Smile

Thanks Richard. They sound the same. I can add to those remarks that there are road markings at both locations I spotted as well as evidence of sensor cables having been buried. If they are digital cameras, I suspect they are connected via land lines rather than transmitting data.
