No map data [i](intermittently)[/i] – i3

A few times now when switching on my i3 it comes up with

please use the provided pc software
to load maps containing turn-by-turn
route information

if I switch the unit on and off a few times it will come back on correctly

mapsource nt+ v8
software version 2.7

anyone got any ideas what is happening, I don’t want it going down on me

Possible dirty connections on the MicroSD card.

Remove it (powered off) - clean contacts with pencil eraser - replace.

If persists - request new MicroSD card from Garmin UK.
