|

Hi guys,
I loaded my TT5 France and Swiss maps before a trip I took in late Jan.
When there the Swiss ones worked fine, but the french ones wouldn't work at all. I kept getting an error planning route.
I'm going to reload them before another trip next week, but can I test them out before I go to avoid similiar problems?
regards,
Greg |

Hi Greg,
The only way I can see that you can test it in advance is to use the Advanced Planning (A - B) option.
Just setup a couple of fictitious trips to see how it works out. From this town to that petrol station (sic) or from this railway station to that airport . . . .etc
You might like to also setup a few itineraries from the comfort of your own chair |

Are you trying to get from Switzerland to France using the Swiss map? (Or vice versa). It won't auto switch over to the France map and you'll get an error.
To go cross border you need at least one map to be the PLUS map, which includes Major Roads of Europe.
Basically you only need one plus map but it may help to load both the Swiss and France plus maps.
The reason? If you are travelling say from France to Switzerland, choose the Swiss plus map. This will get you across France on the MRE and once at the border you will have Street level Switzerland.
For the reverse journey choose the France plus map.
The alternative is to route to the border then switch maps.
I may of course misunderstood and you have another problem. Apoligies in advance if I have. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Yes that's a good point. I didn't think of that, if indeed that was his problem? |
