Your subscription service mentions that, one of many, benefits is:
Discounts on GPS equipment from EasyDevices.co.uk (one discount could easily cover your subscription charge)
How much is the discount and is it valid on the TomTom 510? What is the process?
The 510's won't be available until May - do I join now and order the 510 from EasyDevices.co.uk by phone or do I receive a code/voucher number too use when ordering online?
I will join the subscription service (£19) without the discount but hey - saving money is good.
By the way, are the subscription services compatible with a Macintosh computer running OSX? _________________ Regards,

Sorry guys, I've only just spotted this.
Here are the current discounts. Ranges and discounts change over time.
You have to register with EasyDevices online from a link in the Members Forum.
30% OFF ALL PDA Cases
20% OFF ALL PDA Cables
30% OFF ALL PDA Replacement Batteries
20% OFF Selected PDA In Car Mounts
20% OFF PDA Screen Protectors
20% OFF PDA Replacement/Spare Stylus
10% OFF All Globalsat GPS Receivers
Many of our members are already taking advantage of the discounts.
I have passed on your Mac query to Darren who can run through any possible issues with you. He has just returned from Northern Germany tonight so may need a little time to thaw out first |

Sadly not and for a good reason. There is such little margin in TomTom devices that even a small discount (certainly a lot less than 30%) would mean the retailer taking a loss on it! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Indeed they are. Some Mac users have reported issues opening the .zip files which we are investigating. However we will email files to anyone experiencing such an issue in the meantime. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thank you Darren.
I'll subscribe as soon as my 910 arrives - sometime in May.

The files will open using Stuffit, but not by double clicking. Personally I find that the POI voice alerts don't download properly on a Mac, arriving as a text file (control click) or are just displayed on screen in the browser (Firefox 1.5). |
