|
|
I am down in the South West and as a rep travel around a fair bit, I have been logging new cameras and deleting old ones on checkpoint 2, however not sure how to submit them.
Also I notice that checkpoint 3 has more camera on the site, although I not hear good things about CP3 as a lot of bugs.
Any plans to update soon and how do I send in my new finds i.e excel or Ov2?
Thanks |

Hi
I asked the same question as yours in this forum and got the same answer! Don't understand why both of us didn't receive a single reply between us especially as we both wanted to update the database.
May be we have found the same cameras??

Sorry guys, I never saw the original post. To submit new cameras simply email the checkpoint.ov2 file to me at cameras @ pocketgpsworld.com and I'll incorporate them into the new database.
Different version of CheckPOInt or any other POI detection software have no bearing on the number of cameras displayed, they are simple a means of alerting. The database is independent of these programs and contains the same number of locations regardless of which program yo use be it ChecPOInt, GPS Assist or POI-Warner _________________ Darren Griffin |

oddsock,
As you are using CheckPOInt you will find a file named CheckPOInt.OV2 in the map folder that you were using when you recorded the new cameras. For example, I am using the South of England maps on Storage Card2, so the OV2 file is in the South Navigator Map folder on that card.
Copy the file to your PC and email it to the PocketGPS guys. |

Darren
Hope you can help me here please. I feel sure I submitted some previous camera information and have found the above exchange of posts back in 2004. Can someone please check if the changes were accepted and if so do I qualify for free life time membership? |

Hi, did you actually submit some camera locations? If you did then please email dataalreadysubmitted@pocketgpsworld.com with the email address you used and we will investigate _________________ Darren Griffin |
