Is There A Limit To the Number Of POI's On TT5?

Hi all,

Have recently used POIedit & downloaded POI's supplied by this very website.

When I look at POI's on TT5 I only get a few POI's available, I have checked my storage card and all the relevant ov2 & bitmap files are there.

Is there a limit to the number of POI's that can be listed on TT5?

I believe there is a restriction on the number of POIs you can have in TomTom 5.

Perhaps one of the PocketGPS guys can elaborate on this.

Surely you can add more points than this?

That is categories (or groups) contaning as many individual POI's that you have room for in memory. 1 group can equal upto to several hundred thousand POI! Smile

Do you know of anyway of sorting through the POI categories, I mean the ones that come up when you want to navigate - are these in alphabetical order, or can some be 'forced' into the list?

Just wondered if you could change the list without removing files from the storage card.

The more you use a given category will move it higher up the List.

If the one you weant is not displayed, tap the keyboard icon and the complete List will be available. Use the keyboard to jump to the 1st character of the name.

I just filtered out the rubbish using POI-edit....sorted
