Im thinking about purchasing the above PDA with satnav and want to install TT5... Question I have is, what is the performance of TT5 on this PDA like ?? Are the graphics smooth of jumpy when for instance moving along a road or going round a bend ??

Excuse me if these questions are stupid only I have never bought a PDA and don't know much about them, only that this PDA is down the lower end of the scale !!

Also can I get a wireless internet connection with a add on card or something ??

Thanks

LEE

Lee,

I'm a relative newbie having had my PPC250 since last November. I got it as a factory refurbished unit from an online supplier (there are still some around) for under £150 including VAT and delivery and was impressed with the unit out of the box. I wasn't too impressed with the software that came with the unit (Navigon ?) so I bought a copy of TT Navigator 5 off of eBay together with some maps. I loaded it all up and expected the worst but everything worked first time and I've found it very easy to get to grips with. The navigation is fast and accurate and presented smoothly; much better than I had imagined it would be. I have a couple of glitches where I sometimes need to soft reset after turning the app off but these are pretty rare. I had a small problem where the unit was working perfectly but the GPS display wasn't showing sat information but this apparently is a known problem and relatively straightforward to correct. My brother has subsequently bought the unit up from this one (about £200) with the integrated GPS rather than the mini-mouse that mine came with and that works well too. I'm a convert already as you can probably tell and I use mine even on known routes as the ETA feature is a lot more reliable and realistic than my one-minute-per-mile calculations Smile. I've read a lot of conflicting info about the SD wi-fi cards and whether or not they are compatible with the SD slot on the PPC250 so I can't really help you there but as a SatNav hopefully I've put your mind at rest

Cheers for the reply I just went and picked the unit up !! Opened box but never used from a friends elderly grandad who couldn't get his head round it !! Laughing Out Loud Anyway paid £120 for it and the Nav software isn't great but well pleased with it for the money !!

Cheers
