Tom Tom 700

I am new to GPS so please be patient. I am planning to purchase a GPS for my car and have a couple of options. I could buy the add ons for my DELL V51 PDA or buy the Tom Tom 700 for £297. This is a special Dixons Tax Free price at Heathrow airport, which I shall be visiting next week. Is there a better option. What do other users think of the bluetooth phone facility on the TT 700. I have heard that the microphone and speaker are not very powerful. How are maps updated on the TT700. Any other advise gratefully received

I would go for The TomTom..........

It's much easier to use and more reliable than my PDA based system.


The maps are updated every year (usually) by TomTom.

Just be warned they have just launched the 710 and you may want to check that out before making your decision.
