Holux GM210 - PS/2 Connector specifics?

Hi all,

Am keen on purchasing the Holux GM210, for use with a Laptop.
The Wired GPS has a PS/2 connector on the end for VerAdapters (so PS\2 to a number of specific PDA's).

What I really want to know is:
Can I use a standard PS2 to USB adaptor, to connect the Holux 210 to a standard USB Port on my Laptop, or for technical reasons, wont this work?
(ie: like the PS2 to USB adaptor plug you usually get on the end of Keyboards/Mice so they can plug into a USB port instead of using PS2).

Simple question - hopefully a simple answer? And if not, why?

....So in the x years that these Holux 210 units have been out, no-one has every tried this!!!? Amazing!

Will go straight to the top (Holux UK), and see what they say about this theory, and if it will work.
