|
|
Hello
I hope some of you can help.
I've just bought an XDA IIs, on it I have TT 3.03, I also have an Altina GGM308 GPS reciever, however there doesn't seem to be an Altina option when I try and set my GPS up. So my question is - will an Altina receiver link to an XDA IIS with TomTom 3.03?? If it will, how can I set it up???
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, I hope you have the correct cable for the IIs from the GPS mouse, if so connect it up, in tomtom go to the GPS settings and use the drop down box to select "NMEA 0183 v2, the numbers after this indicate the Baud speed so select the one that matches your unit (check the manual for the GPS for this), on the next drop down box select "Serial on COM1" then tick the blue grey box top left - On the XDAIIs you also need to go to start/ settings Connections tab / IRdA and un tick the "Receive all beams" or your serial port will be blocked, external keyboard software can also block the port if your phone has this loaded, if it does launch the application and set the com port back to IRdA/ Serial instead of keyboard - For other information on the IIs check my post in the Windows Smart Phones WM2003 section its named "Known issues with the XDAIIs) Hope this helps - Mike |

Chris, Glad to hear it works, next put CheckPOI vs 3,2 on the device avail from this link http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=3 - Make sure its vs3,2 and NOT the latest, the new version is for TT5,x - then you can load up the safety camera database and use it in conjunction with TT3 - The Camera Dbase is linked from the home page of this site - Mike
Edit for typo - Mike A |
