TTG 300 not picking up satellite quickly

When I turn my TT Go 300 on (in home), it takes about 4 minutes to lock onto a satellite, maybe more. But when I tap in a destination, it seems to lock on quicker. Even if I step outside, it takes ages for me to get a signal until I tap in a destination and connect it to my car and am ready to go.
Why is this? I've only had this problem since upgrading my SD Card to 256MB and updating the firmware from 5.210 to 5.420, all upgrades were done at the same time so I cannot rule anything out what has caused this.

Check the time is correct, and also try a reset
