What's that all about then? £19 for yearly membership?
It looks like I will be using the POIPLace speed camera database in future

Its been documented quite a lot (before the new year I believe the first anouncements were). If you don't want to do yearly, just do monthly @ £2.
I'm not starting a debate about this subject again as the replies will be the same old but the database is already the best to be found and with the addition of POICapture, the database will be stroger than ever.
A fair pricing system seems fine with me, either way, its greta value.
Ps. you can also get free months.[/b] _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Hi Guys,
Please keep comments about this topic in the original thread in the Speed Camera Database forum, as it will keep the forums a bit tidier.
Thanks.

Obviously I don't visit the site very ofter or maybe read enough of it - but this is honestly the first I have seen about the database being charged for
What with all the advertising on this forum, asking for money for a publicly created database is a bit rich in my opinion...... |

Please see the 29 page thread at the top of this Forum where this is documented ad nauseam..... _________________ Gee-Pee

No the problem was I hadn't actually seen the forum titled:
'Pocket GPS Speed Camera Database'
I generally visit the site every couple of weeks but only look at about 3 or 4 forums. I still think charging for a publicly created database on a site riddled with advertising is a bit rich.....

As far as I know, there wasn't any announcement on the actual download page until January's data was released.
There will be lots of people who don't frequent the forums much, if at all, who have just discovered this for the first time. |
