Welcome

I don't think it's knackered, it probably just needs resetting. Have a look at Mr Elsinga's excellent web pages. This man is a Quest guru. 8)

Good luck!

I have had exactly the same problem after having uploaded a large number of custom POIs to a Quest 2. The Quest 2 then crashes after displaying the startup screen so that one can neither use any keys nor do anything via USB. The Quest first-aid procedures on the Elsinga site did not cure the situation: the Quest still crashed after the startup screen. The Elsinga procedures do not clear the Custom POIs, so the problem is not fixed.

Here is the only way I found to recover use of the Quest 2.

1. Power off the Quest 2.
2. Whilst holding down the OK button, press POWER.
3. The Quest 2 should then boot up into a special diagnostics screen.
4. Ignore the diagnostics screen - the important thing is that the USB interface is now live and will stay so.
5. Use POILoader to upload a very small number of POIs. This will delete the previously uploaded POIs which were causing the crash.

Now the Quest 2 should boot up normally. Good luck!
