trouble finding a street

Trying to find "Victoria Road, Darlington".

If I search for "Victoria Road" I get 99 results and when scrolling down I find Darlington not there. I also tried searching for "Victoria Road, Darlington".

My only way to get there was to move around the map to find the town, zoom-in, and then look around until I found it. I could then click on the street and navigate to it that way. Luckily Victoria Road was a big main road and easy to find.

What was I doing wrong? I just tried again (even though I don't want to go there now) but I still can't figure out how to find it. Without a postcode for the address I was going to, and without the luck of it being an easy to find street, I don't know how I would have found where I wanted to go.

I can understand it not finding a street that it didn't have in it's DB, that's fair enough, but it knows about that street.

DOH !!!!

I just found out how to do it and can't edit/delete my post.

In case anyone else needs to know:

find area/town - darlington
find street - victoria road

I wasn't narrowing it down to the area/town first like I should.

Although as Victoria Road is a major road in Darlo, I would have thought that it should have been easier to find.

If you press the 123 button on the alphabet screen it will take you to the next screen which has a lot of punctuation marks as well as the numbers.
