navman 520 problem

Just purchased navman 520, but the system only previews the route. I am unable to access a realtime mode.

When you say it previews your route, do you mean it shows you travelling the route, even though you are stationary? If so, does it keep flashing SIM in the bottom right hand corner? If so, read the manual and find out how to take the unit out of Demonstration Mode.
