Hi all
I changed jobs on the first of the month.
The new company vehicle I have is a Ford Connect. This van has a front heated screen the type that has vertical fine wire in a sinusoidal configuration spaced about 4mm apart across the whole area of the screen except for the dot hatched section behind the rear mirror, if it had one.
Without an external aerial I am quite pleased with the performance of my 510 as on a round trip of about 100 plus miles it drops out three or four times at the start of the trip but happily navigates my to my destinations which are inputted as new destinations throughout my day.
I think that I will turn off the audible warning for lost sat link as it is confusing with the beep on the audible warnings for the speed cameras I have as POI’s.
So this is a thumbs up for Navman for a change, as it can still navigate me to where I need to go, it must be a good system to own. Or am I bias seeing that I have only ever owned Navman systems, but I have used TT & Mio units.
Regards

It's nice to see a positive post whether it be for a Navman, Tom-Tom or whatever. One can always find fault with devices but I am certainly happy with my Navman having had nothing else. One can always look for perfection and make a 'Wish List' list. I am disappointed in Navman's technical support and so are others judging by this forum, luckily we have a good depth of knowledge here and I for one am glad of it and give thanks to the knowledgeable people who have helped me. I always try to thank such people - a courtesy which is lacking in quite a number of posts.
The other disappointing matter is the map upgrades which I do think are very expensive - I wouldn't expect them to be free but for existing users I would have thought some sort of discount would have been reasonable. _________________ Gee-Pee
