(sorry for the repost think i posted on the wrong forum..doh)
I have joined the group with my new TOM TOM which I managed to corrupt within 1day :D by putting the wrong data.chk in, lucky for me I read many of responses from this forum and made a backup. So thanks for that…

Im sorry if these question have been answered before, but couldn’t find them.
Well I have a two questions which hopefully someone can help me with.

Firstly, I downloaded the POIEdit programme and uploaded every POI for the uk that was available from this site, probably shouldn’t have but im greedy and want everything. The problem is that it doesn’t show all of them in the list even though they are on my 256mb card. The ones it does show doesn’t show all the logos, cant see Mc ds or Halfords etc and the petrol stations are just fuel pump image and not the proper associated logo files (Esso) even though the .bmp files are on the card in the main map folder as specified.
Why is this? Is there only a certain amount of POI that can be viewed on screen? Why can’t I see the rest in the POI management screen, and only on the pc?

My second question is I downloaded the POI extended warning so that I can get the speed camera location to have voice on approach, rather than a useless animal noises, which doesn’t help when u live in the country!! My tom 500 has software v5.410 (5628) I tried downloading both applications of the POI program as I couldn’t find my exact one but the ttn file that is created and then pasted into the original file will not load into the program, any ideas what I may be doing wrong or is it just a compatibility problem? I tried it on both versions with the same results; the sound file does load though. Is there any other way to have it say the full message when approaching a speed camera rather than just gatso 30

thanks

Re question one there is a limit of 39 POI's that can be added (excluding those included with the tomtom map in poi.dat). The logo you are seeing for fuel is probably the included tomtom ones. Things you can do if you want to see more POI's:
1. Consider not using speed zoned camera files (I only use speed zoned for GATSO)
2. Make your own poi.dat (see RayFlan's site) or do a search here.
