screensaver cutting in ?

first post so be gentle with me :D

i've just changed from a garmin streetpilot111 to an ipaq 3715 / tomtom 5 / BT77 and generally have been very pleased that I did - it seems better in every part BUT....

When i'm running it on battery its fine , but I ran it on a car adapter that supplies 4.5 or 6 Volts and the map display cuts out and the screensaver comes on.after a few minutes .....I have been trying to find a way of stopping this - or is it due to the 4.5 Volt supply( it charges ok ) ? i'm reluctant to try it on 6v - will 6volt be ok?

no, it's the screen saver software - you will have to disable that completely.

Not related to input voltage.

after a long search i found out how to disable it!

so in case anyone else nedds the info:

How do I disable the Screensaver?

Go to Start > PROGRAMS > Dockware. Now click on the top left hand corner of screen.
Click on 'Setup' to uncheck the box to automatically start Dockware.


will try it out tomorrow and see how it goes
