Hey All :D
My TomTom Go (fabulous devise) seems to take ages to aquire a signal on 1st start up? It can take up to 8 mins before it aquires a satellite. I was sure it just has to 'see' the sky? I drive a Daewoo Matiz (I know the TTG's worth more than the car Crying or Very sad ) and the TTG works fine once it's got a signal. I noticed in the signal screen that there are several bars going up and down with signal strength but greyed out until signal appears and they go blue? So surely it is getting some sort of signal if those bars are varying??
Any help and info will be graetfully appreciated :D

It takes aLOT longer if you are moving.
For me it's about 40 seconds if you wait for it to get a fix before you move off, and a variable time, usually 2-3 minutes if you're driving.

Those are the LONGEST 40 seconds though!

Also it takes less time if it "thinks" it is in the same place as it really is (ie you switch it on in the same place as you last switched it off).

Sometimes I've even helped it along, by setting it off on a route demo from the place I really am, then stopping it immediately. This fools it into resetting its last location memory.
