|

Hi
Recently bought a Holux CR-100 to use with my Dell Axim X3 where TomTom Nav 5.1 is installed. Since removing from the package, I have not been able to get the GPS car cradle to work. It keeps showing the 'No GPS Device' sign. The CR-100 has power, its aerial light is flashing. I have done the setting as recommended to NMEA 4800. I have unticked the box for “receiving all incoming beams". I left it on for a long periods of time in case first initialization takes time. As it did not work I tried different combinations of settings still it did not work. I also went further to load and try a different navigational software (Navigon) and still have not been able to get it to work.
Some of the people I have consulted with here are of the opinion it is not a software issue. At the moment I am at lost as to what may be he issue, I would appreciate any suggestions. |

do you have any external keyboard drivers installed on the Dell?
do you get any power going to the PDA via the cradle?
is the connection on the base of the Dell ok? _________________ Regards

I do get power into the PDA via the cradle and it charges it. It is once that I noticed it did not charge and as at then was not too sure if it was my not making sure it was connected, But I have not had the problem of its not charging since then.
I am not sure of the external keyboard drivers being installed, I would only presume so but have not had occasion to use an external keyboard on it apart from active sync |

You didn't mention the com port you have selected. With the Holux and my M2000 its com1 and I would guess its the same on yours but check. Did you use this with any other GPS which involved COM port forwarding such as GPS Gate/POI Observer etc and, say a Bluetooth receiver prior to purchase? _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

I selected serial com1
where that did not work I also tried the other variation of com3. Neither of them gave any connection. |
