Just found a great site .........

http://www.poidownload.co.uk/

you will find a drop down list with hundreds of categories of businesses.

Click "GENERATE POI" and you (almost) immediately get a download of a POI

Convert this asc file to a csv and import to favourites.

Not checked out the accuracy yet - will post back later

If you download " poi edit " ( see GPS Central, POI-sync left side of thses pages ) you can transfer all the POI sites that you want as ' POI categorys'. So no need to save as favourites. You even get an icon. The site you refer to is on the autoupdate.

I find the POI-edit excellent. When you have set it up, all you need to do is plug in the PDA and it updates all the sites for you.

Hi

I've just looked at this site and download the POI-Edit program. Looks very good. I can import using Destinator Console a file into Favorites and that all works OK, but how do you get the file to appear in the POIs rather than the Favorites.

As you can see, I am a beginner. I found this post after using the search facility. I put in 'Tom Tom POI' and up popped this post.

Sorry if I have confused. Will be more carefull in the future and use the search more carefully.

Be a little bit careful of the data on the http://www.poidownload.co.uk site as much of it seems to be out of date. I work part-time for B+Q and the poidownload site lists 178 stores. The POI available on the Pocket GPS World site lists 314. The current number of B+Q stores is actully 339.
