Map file compatability iCN vs 3450

Does any know, from experience, whether the maps stored on a SD card by an iCN630 can be used directly with a 3450 or a 4400.



I've got a iCN, and my maps for all of europe are (slowly!) stored on a few 256M SD cards. I want to get a 3450/4400 for my iPaq 3970 for business trips abroad, and I would like to plug the SD cards straight in to my iPaq and share the maps? Otherwise I'm going to have to go though the whole laborious download process all over again with a new set of memory cards...



What is the max size CF or SD card recommended for the 3450 or 4400 and is SD any better/worse faster/slower than CF. (I've got a CF adaptor for my 3970.)



Anyone got any views on SD/CF card readers to speed the download process up? Some readers appear to have quite low memory limits or compatability problems...

Haven't tried it, but I'd think Navman would safe guard against this. I suspect the maps aren't the same in terms of file formats, perhaps headers are different.
