Is there any pre installed.
I can find all the other stuff but when looking for a car park today in Madchester -no trace apart from street name ( which fortunately I knew)which is not always useful when you are looking for some where to park in an unfamiliar city. |

The parking POIs certainly exist on other Garmin GPS units and in City Select.
If there is a POI then you should be able to find it and then navigate to it. Is there an option to find nearest services or something like that? _________________ Gone fishing! |

If you locate your destination and then look up 'nearby' you can select a car park (if there is one nearby) and the i3 will take you to the car park - magic!

1. MaFt's POIs have NCP car parks but I don't know how comprehensive it is as the closest one to me is more than 40 miles away which is surprising.
2. I've just tried doing what PeeBee suggested but I don't get any car park option although there are several within a distance of about 1/2 mile. How are car parks identified and how far does 'nearby' stretch to? |

I tried doing as PB said on the enquiry I had for Manchester today. The car parks came up as Street names e.g. King Street West Market Place etc.
I have tried this for other towns and this seems to be the case also. Sometimes they come up as Carparking - a bit hit and miss I know but they are there. |

Sorry forgot to tell you how to do it.
Go to location (address)
Then find nearby
then Food hotels and more
then spell name and they should be in there somewhere - not ideal but workable.
Get on the thread and suggest it as an uopdate - the more the merrier. |

.
Click "where to?"
Select "Food Hotels & more"
Click on "Spell Name"
Type in "Parki"
At this point you'll get several screenfulls of "Parking" where each one is a car park. in order of nearest to your present position.
Unfortunately, cannot see any way to actually programme a route to a particular car park unless you know the address of same.
