Hi, me again 8O

ive noticed on first using my TT300 that in some areas (particularly my home) the signal can be quite low... when would you recommend the use of an external antenna? do they give much better signal? do they provide signal when in tunnels etc?

i am just getting a company car, so plan to use the unit mainly in there, but also want it to be mobile - i.e. so family can use the unit - for family i am happy just to use the integrated antenna....

how much are these antennas? where can i get one? are they worth it!?

Also - when first starting my TT300 after starting up, i have to wait for it to find the signal etc - can take up to 2 mins - is this normal, or should it remember its config and pick up signal immediately....

soooo many questions!

The antenna will improve your reception. But it's probably only necessary if your company car has a heat reflective windscreen (mainly French cars at the moment) or you travel a lot to city centres with a lot of tall buildings.

You can get them from TomTom , but also available from the advertisers on the left of this page, Inkino, VillageGPS etc. About £50. There's a lot of wire and it gets in the way. If you leave it visible in the car the thieves will check your glove box in case the GO is in there!!
