How to make a route plane from one city to another,

Hi,
I am new for gps.
I am using tomtom5 in my pocket pc hp2410, and I have map of canada and New York. But they are not in the same map.
Now the problem is how I can make a route plane from a canada city to new york city? and when I am using it to navigat, could it switch map automatic?

you cannot plan routes between different maps, and maps do not switch automatically.

To provide at least some relief for this long standing TomTom issue they have released a "Cities of America" map which is the major roads network of US and Canada plus the center pieces of the twenty odd biggest cities. So you could for example drive from NYC to SF using just this one map.

I am not sure if Toronto is covered there too, willl have to check.

If you frequently travel between New York and Ontario then TomTom maps for the Pocket PC won't help you - you would need the GO maps for that.
