Acer N35 loses all settings / installed software

I know this is more of a hardware question but I have just bought an Acer N35 and intalled TT5 on it. Yesterday a warning came on the screen saying the battery is low - I thought fair enough and a few minutes later it shut itself down. When I found the car charger and plugged it back in it came up with the screen setup I had when I first bought it, hmmmm so I went through the wizard and on booting up I noticed the whole OS had gone back to factory setting, no TT5 no Contacts etc :/

Its only a week old, is this normal or is it duff ?

I have found that if I left my N35 for a month the battery was completely dead it lost everything as well

I'm not sure if this is anything to do with TomTom just the PDA itself.

I'm surpised yours died completely so quickly
