First of all apologies in advance. I have read other posts relating to this but still cannot transfer certain files from memory card to PC. I am using a card reader to tf files from MMC card to PC with a view to re installing on RS MMC as shortly due for upgrade in phone. Most files will transfer to PC other than the following 4 : cline.dat , cname.dat , cnode.dat and faces.dat . All are within the Great Britain Map folder. Have tried Drag and Drop / Cut and paste - all without success. Please please can someone put me out of my misery. Phone is Nokia 6600
Many thanks in advance |

These are the 4 biggest files in the map folder.
Do you get an error message?
Have you tried copying them 1 at a time? _________________ Richard

Sorry for delay in replying... yes I have tried one at a time, in different order and all together. There was mention on another string about card readers not being up to scratch. I wonder if this is true with mine. It was only a cheapy from Hong Kong. I can therefore assume that normally transfer of these files is made without hitch?
Many thanks for your reply |

They appear to be unhidden already. I changed that option in File Options. My card reader is showing as Removable Disk(F. When trying to copy the following error is displayed 'Cannot copy cline.Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name'
Do I have to replicate the file somewhere on my C Drive before I try to transfer it? If so how do I do that? Is the problem that card reader s shown as Disk F ? I'm slowly going mad. I can normally work through problems but I have to admit defeat on this one due to time constraints (due to fourth child being born 3 weeks ago) .
Really would like to crack it |

make a new folder on the pc my documents etc..
copy all the files on the card not 1 file all the files in the card to the new folder great britain map images itn licences others raster schemes sounds system tomtom videos voices zip mines a 6680
then copy all the files to the new card it will work
you may have to format the card in the fone before you use it so the fone recognises it |
